This book is one of the most interesting I have ever read. It is devoted to the history of alchemy, with an emphasis on the Middle Ages and early modern times, when most of the masters we admire today (Nicholas Flammel, Philaletha, Sendivogius, etc.) lived.This book was first published in 1832 and contains a wealth of unique information not available in other sources. Careful students of Irenaeus Philalethes know what I am talking about. The edition offered here is a photomechanical reprint from 1927.The book is complete and in beautiful condition, with Franz Bardon's ownership stamps.
